Dear teens and parents,
What a strange week this has been! The changes and the ongoing uncertainty can easily tempt us to focus on our fears instead of our God. Thankfully, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is with us even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Please continue to pray for one another and our world. Pray for God's will and glory in the defeat of this virus. We want people to have life and even more importantly we want them to know eternal life through Jesus Christ (John 17:3). Yesterday our president gave new guidelines encouraging us to avoid groups of more than 10 people. For the present, these instructions prevent us from physically meeting as a youth group. Our onsite meetings/activities will be suspended until further notice. This Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm we will have an online teen meeting instead of meeting at the church building. It will be a video chat format that allows our youth group to interact instead of just listening to a webcast. To access the meeting visit https://zoom.us/j/997976546. Our format will be similar to our regular teen meetings with the exception of group singing due to technical restrictions. We will play a game near the beginning (wait and see), followed by prayer requests, testimonies and prayer. We will conclude with a Bible study to continue our 1 Timothy series. To clarify, we will be postponing our teen outreach originally scheduled for this Saturday, March 21. We plan to reschedule as soon as it is advisable to do so. Feel free to call or reply to this message with questions. Please let me know how I can pray for your family. With hope in Christ, Nathan Steadman Assistant Pastor Tri-City Baptist Church Westminster, CO 720-722-6877

Do you need encouragement and accountability in your walk with Christ? Then consider joining a teen growth group.
Volunteers,
Please read this communication tonight, Tuesday, November 20th. These instructions and reminders should help the effectiveness of our ministry. • PRAYER AND WITNESSING Please pray tonight and throughout the day tomorrow for God to use this ministry for the gospel. As you interact with guests, there may be opportunities to pray with them regarding their personal concerns and burdens. This is an excellent intro to sharing your testimony of God's gracious salvation. We will have copies of the Gospel of John and other tracts available. Talk to Ken Risma as you need additional instruction. • FLEXIBILITY This link accesses our volunteer sign up sheet. Please prepare to be flexible as needed. As the day progresses, you may be asked to do a different job than you originally signed up for. We are volunteering to serve with EDBB and desire to follow their lead in how we fulfill this ministry. If you have a serious concern, please contact Pastor Nathan Steadman (816-510-4789) or Pastor Bryan Malik (970-215-4393). • TRANSPORTATION We will be using both church vans to shuttle volunteers to East Denver Bible Baptist Church (5500 E 26th Ave, Denver, CO 80207). If we run out of space in the vans, we may need volunteers to drive or carpool in separate vehicles. Morning shift volunteers - 8:00am Leave Tri-City; 1:45pm Arrive Tri-City Afternoon shift volunteers - 12:00pm Leave Tri-City; 5:45pm Arrive Tri-City All-day volunteers - 8:00am Leave Tri-City; 5:45pm Arrive Tri-City • LUNCH Volunteers may eat the Thanksgiving lunch provided at East Denver Bible Baptist (EDBB). • BELONGINGS All personal belongings should remain on your person throughout the day. There is no safe area to leave belongings at EDBB. Please do not bring purses or wear expensive jackets/jewelry. Personal items can be stolen and should not be left in the vans. Our vehicles will be used to shuttle homeless and meals throughout the day. • REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE This Thanksgiving outreach is a ministry of food, clothing and hope in the gospel. We are not able to assist individuals financially. Please refer requests for monetary assistance to Pastor Loren Richmond or his wife Kathleen. Thank you for being willing to serve the Lord and demonstrate His love in our city. May God use His people for His glory this Thanksgiving! Pastor Nathan Steadman |
